Trai Turner’s natural talent for football combined with his competitive drive secured his future as a professional NFL athlete at a young age. Rated a 4-star recruit out of high school and one of the top offensive guards in the country, it was no surprise he found success both on and off the field at Louisiana State University.
After two years at LSU, Trai astonished teams with his speed and athleticism and was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the 2014 NFL Draft. It was important to Trai that he finished his education, so he has continued to work diligently to complete his Bachelor’s Degree at LSU.
Trai quickly made a name for himself in the NFL, being named Sport’s Illustrated 2014 All--Rookie Team and playing 618 snaps without allowing a single sack his rookie year.
He continued to be a force on the field during the 2015 season, not allowing a sack for 627 snaps, the 3rd longest streak in the NFL at Right Guard. He was instrumental in the Panther’s 2015 season success, helping to pave the way for Carolina to compete in Super Bowl 50. He was also selected for his first career Pro Bowl during this season, but was unable to play due to the Panther’s Super Bowl 50 appearance.
Perhaps more impressive than his accomplishments as an athlete, Trai’s fervent desire to give back, hosting football clinics, camps, and educational tours in hopes of showing underprivileged youth the importance of health and education.
When he has free time, this charismatic young man enjoys the simpler things in life, spending time with
his Teacup Yorkie, Luna, frequenting art exhibits and cooking up a storm in his kitchen. His magnetic personality and diverse range of interests have made Trai a fan and media favorite; there is no doubt that this NFL star has a bright future ahead of him on and off the field.
