With a sparkling personality, an intense drive and athletic talent to match, Pro Bowl and Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks fullback Michael Robinson has proven himself to be a favorite of fans, media, coaches and teammates alike.  This Richmond, Virginia native has transformed from a countryside high school quarterback to Hollywood-ready star on and off the football field.  Although he found great success in his high school years as a quarterback, once he reached the famed Penn State in 2002, they molded him to be a skilled running back and fullback, helping to mold Penn State’s notably diversified offense.  Robinson looks back on his years at Penn State with great endearment; after all, he did lead the team to a Big Ten Conference Title and an Orange Bowl victory in 2005, while also earning himself Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year Honors. His success was not limited to the field – he also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and Public Relations in three short years, leading him to be named Academic All-Big Ten three consecutive years.  In 2005, he added a second B.A. in Journalism to his resume.

Robinson’s dreams came true in 2006 when he was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers. After four years with San Francisco, Michael felt he had gained incredible football knowledge and important on field and was ready and willing when he got the call from the Seattle Seahawks, Michael has hit the ground running in Seattle, his impact  has been evident both on and off the gridiron.  He brought the Seahawks instant offensive stability, racking up his first Pro Bowl honors for the 2011-2012 season.  A favorite of teammates and coaches and team captain, Michael’s athletic prowess continues to develop and there is no doubt that he will be a force in Seattle for years to come.

Even more impressive than his on the field work ethic and athletic production is Robinson’s commitment to his career in broadcasting and journalism. Michael took these passions by developing and hosting his own sports talk show, The Real Rob Report. The show was born of Michaels vision to connect fans to their favorite athletes with a candid look into the locker room.  Touting “By Athletes for the Fans,” The Real Robinson Report features interviews with professional athletes and entertainers. Putting his degrees in public relations, advertising and journalism to good use, Robinson has put his heart and soul into developing the show and is committed to watching it grow in the coming seasons. The Real Rob Report just scratches the surface of what Robinson brings to the sports and entertainment world.  Acting and broadcasting are on the agenda for this young star, who has acted as a guest analyst at  NFL Network, NBC Sports Talk, was a guest correspondent for HLN’s Dr. Drew Show and ESPN. It doesn’t stop at television: Mike has been covered in magazines like Sporting News and Arizona Foothills, and even contributes as a regular expert to STACK Magazine and recently recoded his first TV and Radio commercial for TYR Athletic Brands.

While he enjoys success on and off the gridiron, Robinson persistently gives back to the community and is looking forward to using 2014 to develop and nurture his own foundation, the Michael Robinson Foundation.  With four children of his own, this true family man loves to touch the lives of children and help them learn the importance of being a student athlete and being active in the hours after school rather than succumbing to video games and television.  This wonderful example for the next generation often states that his dream job post-football would be a coach – and with his success thus far in all avenues of life, it is certain he will achieve his full potential there as well. Robinson also gives to this cause by participating in the NFL’s Fuel Up! Play60 initiative, touring schools around the Seattle area to discuss proper nutrition and staying active. This year he hosted his second annual “Shop with a Jock” event in Seattle, where he brought out 50 homeless and neglected children to a local Wal-Mart, and took them on a shopping spree. This past year. he also become incredibly involved with the Seattle Humane Society promoting animals rights and advocacy!

With all of his success and different ventures, it is clear that Robinson makes a habit of giving everything he has to his projects, his career, and his family.  This multi-faceted, intelligent and media-savvy giant is definitely headed down the path of a fruitful career post-football.
